ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage (Intensive Course)

Twee maanden geleden had ik besloten om mij bij te scholen als masseuse. Zo'n 20 jaar geleden had ik al een cursus klassieke massage gevolgd in Nederland. Nu was ik echter specifiek op zoek naar een opleiding die meer te bieden had. Ik wilde niet alleen praktische vaardigheden opdoen, maar ook theoretische kennis opbouwen, met de nadruk op anatomie en fysiologie. Bovendien leek het me zinvol om de cursus in het Spaans te volgen, zodat ik twee vliegen in één klap sloeg!

Na uitgebreid zoeken op Google ben ik uiteindelijk bij NaturaClass terechtgekomen, en dat bleek een uitstekende keuze te zijn. De cursus was zeer inhoudelijk, het lesmateriaal was duidelijk en de theoretische aspecten waren gemakkelijk online toegankelijk.

Een groot voordeel was dat de docent, Francy, drietalig is: Spaans, Engels en Nederlands. Dus als er iets was dat ik niet direct begreep, kon ik het in mijn eigen taal (Nederlands) verduidelijkt krijgen.

Een week voordat ik aan de praktijkcursus begon, kreeg ik te horen dat er medisch gezien enkele zaken niet helemaal in orde waren. Hierdoor vond ik het soms moeilijk om me tijdens de cursus te concentreren. Gelukkig ging Francy hier uitstekend mee om, met veel rust, begrip en ruimte. Samen hebben we besproken hoe ik de cursus toch met succes kon afronden. Dus de cursus bood me meer dan ik had verwacht. Naast het leren van massagetechnieken met kennis van anatomie en fysiologie, gaf het me ook zelfvertrouwen en vertrouwen in anderen.

Daarvoor ben ik Francy zeer dankbaar. Ook Pilar, de andere docent, is erg vriendelijk en geduldig. Ze gaf in principe les in het Spaans, maar had er geen moeite mee om uitleg in het Engels te geven als ik iets niet begreep. Hetzelfde geldt voor Gema, de office-assistent, die altijd bereid was om uitleg te geven over verschillende cursussen en mogelijkheden. Het enige verbeterpunt dat ik kan noemen, is dat er een les over aromatherapie plaatsvond voorafgaand aan het examen. Doordat ik nogal gestrest kan zijn voor examens, kon ik die les niet zo goed volgen als ik zou willen, hoewel het wel een zeer interessant onderwerp was. Als die les na het examen was gepland, had ik me er beter op kunnen concentreren.

Verder was alles gewoon perfect, en ik zou NaturaClass aan iedereen aanbevelen.

As a stay at home mum for 7 years going back to study anything was very daunting. However, the helpful, friendly and caring teacher guided me though and made the experience a lot less scary. This course fit in so well with my family and other life commitments with the on-line study and then the 7 days of intensive training. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in massage.

I was sincerely impressed by the Intensive Course of Holistic Massage by Natura Class. During this week everybody who have been practicing massage techniques became masseurs. With help of professional teachers I am aware now of basic massage routine, I understand which method of impact I need apply in a certain situation, I am confident in my actions towards the human muscles. I chose to study Holistic Massage at Naturaclass because they offered possibility to study as a distance part of the studies and the rest in an intensive way in beautiful Malaga! That was absolutely best method for me as I was not living in Malaga! The intensive week passed really fast and we became professionals! The course exceeded totally my expectations! I recently completed the intensive holistic massage course which was excellent. Our tutor, Francy, was exceptional. Francy is totally professional in her approach to teaching and to the practice of massage. She is an expert in her field in terms of knowledge and skills and was very supportive and encouraging to us as students. The course was well organised and structured and designed to reinforce and develop your practical skills and understanding within a short timeframe. The course materials were also very helpful. This is an intensive learning experience and requires your total focus for the 7 days but I found it to be a very valuable investment in terms of time and money. My experience is that NaturaClass is a company with integrity dedicated to maintaining high professional standards in the practice and teaching of massage. Highly recommended.
